Roger brings over 21 years of contract negotiation, fiscal management consulting, executive account management, and operations experience to this role at TPI Efficiency. His entire career has been dedicated to engineering complex, innovative fiscal management and business operational efficiency solutions.
A Northeast Ohio native and longtime supporter of revival and regrowth in Downtown Cleveland, Roger passionately supports Hattie Larlham, The Centers for Families and Children, and The Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland. Roger currently sits on the Notre Dame Advisory Board.
Roger attended Saint Mary (Chardon), Notre Dame Cathedral Latin, and John Carroll University.
President & Founder
Karl brings over 27 years of management, procurement, and sourcing experience to his role at TPI Efficiency. His executive experience includes Vice-president of Worldwide Strategic Sourcing with Thermo-Fisher Scientific, owner of KSSD Management, LLC, Owner and Executive Vice President at ActionLink, CEO of Pulse Interactive, and Founder of Retail Mashup, LLC. in addition to senior management and consulting roles for international retailers Best Buy, OfficeMax, and Circuit City.
Karl grew up in Connecticut, attending the University of Connecticut before moving to Ohio.
Karl’s passion and ability to negotiate custom, unique solutions are a driving force at the heart of TPI.
In May 2013, Nick began his professional career with TPI Efficiency as a junior consultant, while pursuing his bachelor's degree from Kent State University and currently serves as General Manager. Nick is responsible for overseeing all sales, retention, customer experience and service, and client on-boarding with his growing team.
Nick is a transplanted northeast Ohioan who grew up in Mentor and recently became a homeowner in Cleveland Heights. As a true Clevelander, he enjoys spending as much time as possible at the corner of Carnegie and Ontario, cheering on the Tribe or looking for a patio, in the shade, of course.
Karen brings a varied career in accounting, sales, customer service and human resources to TPI Efficiency. She enjoys the challenges and opportunities of working for TPI Efficiency, as they have been an industry expert for over ten years in the energy sector. She appreciates TPI’s dedication to their employees. During the 2020 pandemic, employees worked from home; no furloughs, no salary reductions.
Karen loves that every single TPI Efficiency employee is a customer service representative, all united in the success of their customers, all empowered to do all they can to save their customers money.
A native Clevelander, Karen went to the University of Dayton. She owned a business in Cincinnati and moved to Oregon, but she always came home to Cleveland.
Jon brings over 14 years of sales management, procurement and sourcing experience to his role as Sales Director at TPI. His professional career began in industrial sales at Fastenal where he quickly rose to management and was responsible for over 500 active accounts between two locations. Since 2012, Jon has continued to help all TPI clients achieve their financial and energy efficiency goals.
Jon was born and raised in Cleveland's Detroit Shoreway neighborhood. He attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel West, St. Edward H.S. and graduated with a degree in recreational therapy and a minor in psychology from the University of Toledo.
Currently, Jon resides in Brunswick with his wife Megan, daughters Julia, Adriana and son Jonathan. His hobbies include smoking meats, hunting, fishing, gardening and being the all-time quarterback for the neighborhood kids football games.
Alex has spent the last 8 years in the project management and energy services space, managing national rollouts and teams responsible for a $250M customer portfolio. He brings a customer-first approach to TPI’s Energy Services division that allows for a custom tailored, boutique solution for any size customer. Since joining TPI, Alex has helped grow the Energy Services division to include LED Lighting, Solar, HVAC, Combined Heat & Power, and Controls. His team handles material procurement and pricing, labor negotiations, install partner relationships, project management, funding/financials contract development, warranty, RFP development and Energy Services training.
Alex loves advocating for all customers, and looks forward to further developing TPI’s renewable portfolio and helping customers go green, one project at a time.
A native Cleveland Westsider, Alex went to Cleveland State and University of Miami for a degree in Business Administration. He enjoys the historic Ohio City neighborhood where he lives with his partner and dogs.
Sales Director, Client Relations

Matt is a Consulting Director who works with commercial businesses at TPI to help reduce their operating expenses. He knows the struggles businesses have, and loves being a part of the solution. With over 15 years of sales experience and 13 years in management, he enjoys teaching others how to be successful.
Matt enjoys weekends at home with his wife and three sons. Without a doubt, every day is exciting, in or out of the office.
Renee has spent seven years building her position as Operations Manager at TPI Efficiency. She started her professional career here in 2013 after graduating from Ohio State’s Fisher College of Business. After learning all aspects of the operational side of the business, Renee has helped TPI grow from one office with eight employees to three offices and over forty employees. She is responsible for keeping all the offices running, all contract and data base management, and validating vendor payments.
Renee lives in the heart of Downtown Cleveland with her fiancé and their dog. She is adamant in supporting small, local businesses. In her spare time she enjoys all things Cleveland sports, riding bikes on the towpath trail, spending time with her family, and hula hooping.
